Saving the World by Saving Water

Learners will be able to demonstrate their knowledge of why conserving water is important and learn practical and applicable ways to apply this knowledge at school and at home.

The Role of Water on the Earth’s Surface Processes

K-ESS3: Communicate solutions that will reduce the impact of humans on the land, water, air, and/or other living things in the local environments.
K-ESS3-C: Things that people do to live comfortably can affect the world around them. But they can make choices that reduce their impact on the land, water, and other living things.

Assessment:  


Students will observe online research together as a class using the smartboard and then will be permitted to break up into groups and be guided through the research steps in order to obtain answers for their questions.  Assessment will be based on a group presentation of the information they researched.  Each student will be responsible for answering one question. Assessment will be based upon their ability to work together as a group, connecting the answer to their question to the research information online and participation/active listening in the class discussion.
